Applications must include proof of child’s birth date and family residency, and documentation of all sources of household income. Please see the application cover sheet for specific documents that are accepted.
Please provide all income documentation that applies to your household (from anyone living in your household who is related to the child, and who contributes financially to support the child). Specific types of documentation are listed on the cover sheet of the application.

Applications received by May 2nd are established by a lottery and applicants from this first round of funding will receive a response late-May. Applications received after May 3rd are on a first-come, first-served basis and those applicants will receive a response as funding becomes available.
Tuition Assistance after the beginning of the school year is awarded on a prorated basis, depending on a child’s start date and the 33-week schedule established by the pre-k program.

For the 4-year-old program, children must be 4-years-old on or before December 1 of the current school year. Per State of Michigan guidelines, GSRP must prioritize enrollment for children who are 4-years-old on or before September 1 of the current school year.
For the 3-year-old program, children must be 3-years-old on or before December 1 of the current school year.
Families must reside in Kalamazoo County (for Head Start and KC Ready 4s) or one of the school districts supported by Kalamazoo RESA for GSRP – Climax-Scotts, Comstock, Galesburg-Augusta, Gull Lake, Kalamazoo, Parchment, Portage, Schoolcraft or Vicksburg.
